What is this nonsense? The Clockwork Cabaret is the premier steampunk music podcast to ride the windy wilds of the aethernet. Spontaneous, silly, and ever expanding, our goal is to pump coal-heated music o’ gears directly into your copper-plated ears and steampowered hearts.
For most, weeknights are quiet, somber occasions. The weekend has begun, the work week has finally ended, and fun and frivolity will have to wait until tomorrow. But for their thousands of fans, Friday evening is the highlight of the week. This is when they can tune-in for a trip to the airship Calpurnia, and a delightful visit with that darling DJ duo of Emmett Davenport, Lady Attercop and their weekly music podcast, The Clockwork Cabaret.
Since 2007, the numerous Davenport sisters (Emmett, Klaude, Mingan and Olivier) and Lady Attercop have been stuffing their fans’ earholes full to brimming with poetry, comedy sketches, and “the music o’ gears”. For lesser folk, entertaining the teeming throngs week after week without fail would be more than enough to satisfy. However, our heroines are full of more ambitious stuff. In addition to their weekly radio show, they have been organizing dance parties, a webseries, and supplementary podcast, as well as sponsoring shows with performers like Eli August, Jill Tracy, Vernian Process, the Clockwork Dolls, the Extraordinary Contraptions, Frenchy and the Punk, Not Waving But Drowning, the Ghost Project, Hellblinki, and many, many others!
